About Mindful Mindfood

Our intention here is to help you in one or more of these ways​

​

  • Building healthy habits as a lifestyle

  • Physical and mental wellness, through eastern philosophy and practices

  • Cultivating confidence from the inside out with an understanding of holistic wellness at the core

It all began as a small mindful plant based treats and herbal tonics catering business and market stall in Napier, New Zealand with Shardasia Schwass in 2017.

Mindful Mindfood has since expanded to a holistic health and wellness sanctuary with Yogic Practices, Reiki, Sound Therapy and Inner illumination a Holistic Wellness Coaching Program.

We offer our services one on one or in small groups, online, in person, in home within the Auckland area, in work places or at retreats round New Zealand.

Founder of Mindful Mindfood

Kia Ora and Namaste, my name is Shardasia and I am the intuitive mind and creatress behind Mindful Mindfood. 

My passion for all things wellness lead me here with a vision of empowering others to live their most fulfilled lives.

I have been a practising student of Yoga for about 10 plus years and in 2018 and 2019 I travelled to India and Nepal to attain this ancient knowledge and wisdom of Eastern Philosophies. In this time I attended a 200 Hour Kundalini Tantra Yoga Teacher Training, along with Reiki and Tibetan Singing Bowl Sound Therapy courses, in Rishikesh , this was where a set of bowls found me and I bought them back along with knowledge and teachings to share these powerful tools with my home country of New Zealand.

I continued to deepen my practice in 2021 and attended a 200 hour Multi-Style Yoga Teacher Training in Yoga Nidra, Yin, Hatha and Vinyasa here in New Zealand. Most recently I studied a Diploma of Holistic Health Science towards Nutrition and Naturopathy. 
Driven by my number one goal to inspire and plant mindful seeds that lead towards self discovery and empowerment to develop a ripple effect for worldly peace and compassion for the benefit of all beings.

Yoga

What is it?

“The word ‘Yoga’ is derived from the Sanskrit root ‘Yuj’, meaning ‘to join’ or ‘to yoke’ or ‘to unite’. As per Yogic scriptures the practice of Yoga leads to the union of individual consciousness with that of the Universal Consciousness, indicating a perfect harmony between the mind and body, Man & Nature. According to modern scientists, everything in the universe is just a manifestation of the same quantum firmament. One who experiences this oneness of existence is said to be in yoga, and is termed as a yogi, having attained to a state of freedom referred to as mukti, nirvana or moksha. Thus the aim of Yoga is Self-realization.” 

 

Using a sequence of physical, mental and spiritual practises which aid in connecting you to the present reality.

There are many branches of Yoga that have formed over the years some of the earliest texts show that Yoga has been practiced since before 2nd BCE.

At Mindful Mindfood we practise and share knowledge on Hatha, Vinyasa and Kundalini Yogic tecniques and practises.

 

Hatha Yoga 

A deep practise focusing on purification of the physical body through proper diet, proper body cleansing, proper breathing and proper postures to prepare the body for deeper states of meditation.

Vinyasa Yoga 

Vinyasa is the smooth flow of transitioning through physical Asanas (poses) pairing with the co-ordination of the breath creating physical strength and power.

Kundalini Yoga 

A combination of different branches of Yoga using Asanas (poses), Pranayama (breath control) and Mantra (chanting) to cleanse, purify and prepare the physical and subtle bodies to allow for the  Kundalini Life Force Energy to rise through the body creating a sense of deeper connection with self and all that is.

Reiki

What is it?

Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Energy. We are all born with Reiki as it is the energy of life.

Reiki is a hands on healing system founded by Dr Usui in the 1900’s using hands to channel this energy through our body to be shared through hands and received by another body to bring more energy to areas of the body where energy flow is blocked also balancing the energetic body and moving stagnant energetic blockages.

 

At Mindful Mindfood we use this hands on healing system in a safe and private setting at our Mindful Sanctuary to help balance the energy in the body aiding to create a more balanced and calm state of mind.

Sound Therapy

What is it?

Sound Therapy is a form of Theta Healing.

 

Theta Healing is a meditative technique conducted while the client and practitioner are in a Theta state - an altered consciousness where brainwaves are slowed to a relaxed mode.

Working with advanced science and quantum physics and the movement of energy, atoms and physical particles in order to allow the body the conditions it needs to replenish and restore. 

 

At Mindful Mindfood we use the sound resonance and vibrations of seven hand crafted metal Tibetan Singing Bowls to balance both hemispheres of the brain to bring the brain into a Theta state of rest and recovery. Allowing the physical body to relax while the subtle frequencies of the bowls work to clear blockages in the energy body with each of the bowls resonating to match frequencies of each of the seven main Chakras of the body.
