About the event

More about the journey:

This gathering is intended to get you closer to connecting with your true self, through the meditative practise of Yoga Nidra, we will plant positive intentions deep into the fertile soil of your subconscious as you're guided through the layers of the waking mind, followed by a deeply restorative cosmic sound scape to nourish the mind, body and spirit.

The ancient art of Yoga Nidra:

Following on from conscious relaxation and diving deeper into the subconscious where we will plant our positive intentions for the journey ahead through Yoga Nidra, which translated means "yogic sleep". Yoga Nidra is an ancient meditation technique where practitioners enter a deep state of relaxation, moving awareness from the external world to the internal. Yoga Nidra brings us to a state of deep relaxation, verging on sleep, where our senses, intellect, and mind can completely let go and rest. When this happens, brain activity reduces and the body goes into a healing state, removing toxins at a cellular level, refreshing the mind, and eliminating emotional baggage from the subconscious, as a result, one hour of this psychic slumber is said to give the same benefit as four hours of sleep.

The science of sound:

Once in this deep and receptive state you will then be bathed in an array of instruments and ancient tools that have been used in sound therapy for centuries, including and array of singing bowls, a monochord, drums and wind instuments.

A main tool used in sound therapy is the Tibetan Singing Bowls, they are said to balance both hemispheres of the brain bringing it into a Theta state this allows the physical body to relax while the subtle frequencies of the bowls work to clear blockages in the energy body with each of the bowls resonating to match frequencies of each of the seven main Chakras of the body to bring the body as a whole back into a state of balance and harmony.

Sound Therapy is known as a form of Theta Healing, Theta Healing is a meditative technique conducted while the client and practitioner are in a theta state, an altered state of consciousness where brainwaves are slowed to a relaxed and hypnotic state. The sound vibrations are said to work with advanced science; quantum physics to aid the movement of energy, atoms and physical particles in order to allow the body the conditions it needs to replenish and restore.
